Why the hold up? Fahli is coming, I promise!

I don't know if other writers have this problem, but finishing a project in the summer is hard. Still, I'm back in the saddle after a few weeks of reconnecting, self-prescribing, and administering copious amounts of vitamin D.

FAHLI, my middle-grade fantasy novel, is in its final stage before publication. I went through a couple of draft rounds and quickly realized it was much further from finished than I'd thought. I find it far easier to spot issues in a physical copy than a digital one, so I got it printed and filled the margins with notes.

The importance of copy editors:

If you're at the final stage of your writing project, get a copy editor — a good one, preferably 😉. I found a lot of issues in this draft that I don't think I would've caught without one. It's worth it: a good copy editor makes your work cleaner, tighter, and more immersive.
