IYANWA and FAHLI Classroom Activity Kits Now Available

After a bit of work, my free classroom activity kits for IYANWA and FAHLI are now available — and I wanted to take a moment to tell you what's in them and why.

Each kit has been put together with real thought about what makes a classroom come alive. Not just worksheets, but activities that give young readers a reason to lean into the story rather than just read it. Each kit includes a word search, a coloring poster, a maze, creative writing prompt cards, a character profile sheet, discussion question cards, a reading comprehension sheet, and a book report template. Everything a teacher needs to bring the world of Iyanwa into their classroom, completely free, no sign-up required.

The kits are designed for primary and elementary school teachers — Grades 3–6 (KS1, KS2) — and work equally well for classroom reading, guided reading groups, book clubs and homeschool settings.
